How can Romney threaten to fire Big Bird? He's every child's vision of the congenial adult. The one to be trust. The gentle and generous adult. Who only wants the best for everyone... Oh, I get it. It's the 'everyone' that has stuck in Mitt's throat.

Reagan and Treason

I wonder sometimes why President Reagan wasn't charged with treason. On the days coming up to the American election, President Carter was negotiating with Iran for the release of American prisoners. It didn't happen. Until after the election. There were rumors that Mr. Reagan's people had negotiated with Iran to delay the release of those prisoners. They were in cahoots with the enemy. The Iranians had no reason to withhold the release the prisoners. It is thought that they would have preferred that Carter won the election. Reagan was much more hard line and truculent. And yet they did not. There was no investigation of what happened. Why not?
